Work Slump

I've been having a bad attitude about working lately. I find myself being extremely lazy and that makes me angry...at me!!! I just have a little drive to do very little that doesn't involve me being and my boyfriend. So before I rant to make me feel better I would like to point out a few things.
#1 I'm still getting used to a life of part time work, full time school and having a happy life all at the same time.
#2 I get paranoid and over think...a lot of time.
#3 Sometimes it's really hard when my man gets to do a lot of fun things cause he's a high schooler still. Even though we are together pretty much every day and he is almost done, it's hard when I'm pretty much "on my own"for the next few months.
To get to a different point of view I will say this. When I think about people that I look up to in my life I feel much better. I think about the hard things we are all doing and know that's their struggle and I have mine, in the end we are all in the same boat.
I think of my best friends moving away from home. My boyfriend's sister who works hard at her job and school. My mom talking to rude people about flight reservations. My dad who leaves at midnight every other night to do line runs. My grandma who went to college, became a teacher, taught for 40 years and now gets to have a good retirement. Those people are in my thoughts every day. They help me do what I need to do. They make me strong and happy. They make me grateful that they are in my life.
So though this rant and current observations I've had today actually have made me feel much better:) I just got to keep those thoughts in my mind and I know it will be all good!

New This and That

An exciting thing happened yesterday! I couldn't wait to blog about it, so I'm just gonna do it now! My man got a new car!! It's an exciting event people. If you only knew about the car drama of these past few months you would know how excited I am!!!
To save you from a long story lets just say we had to deal with the "green machine" which was the most unreliable car form hell....so anyway he got a new one so yay!! He deserves it and hello who doesn't want their man to have a nice car to come get you in:) But my car is still the coolest. I love my red baby! By the way I've had my car for almost a year now and I still haven't named it, I really need to do that before the road trip.
A new car and a new week ahead of us everyone! Let's do this thing!!!

Up and Coming

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I'm just gonna come out and say it...
I'm THE coolest girlfriend EVER!! No really I am...No joke.
I am getting him the greatest present ever, and I would tell you all on here what it is, but just to be safe I will wait.
So that's one event coming up. Second is on March 22 you will find me watching the Hunger Games at midnight!!!! Woooooooooooooo!! I'm freaking out my friends! Lets hope the movie is not going to disappoint. That would be sad.
Besides that I don't have much to say today. I don't have to work all weekend and yeah it's gonna be a lovely day:) I hope you all have a lovely day as well:)
P.S My man made 45 points in his basketball game today!!! My babe is a stud!!!

Adventure Awaits

As you know, or don't know, one of the things that I wanted to do this year was go on a road trip well guess what?????
I'm going on a ROAD TRIP! Woo hoo!!
Where you may ask...Moab!! It's gonna be a blast! The weekend we are going there is a car show and then of course if you are in Moab there is so much to do there. Hiking, eating, camping, relaxing. And if my man is coming...Pretty much the best thing of my life!! I cannot wait!
So for such an amazing trip there needs to be some preparation.
1. Make an awesome playlist for the ride (p.s I'm driving my own car, oh yeah!)
2. Pack good food and treats
3. Plan out all our activities
Things to look forward to-
1. Spending the long weekend with my family and boyfriend
2. Having a "sleepover" with my man for 3 nights:)
3. Having a blast hiking all the cool spots and looking at cool cars.
4. And of course the drive down will be sooooooooo much fun!!!!
Yup I'm pretty much counting down the days;)

Worth the Wait

I swear I have bad luck sometimes.
On Friday my mom convinced me to go to the doctor's office to get my ear checked out. A few months ago I had an ear infection that also hurt my throat so I thought it was the same thing. Well wrong....My ear was infected but it was way worse. They had to literally flush my ear out. Awful. It gave me the worse headache EVER!!! And I got a really stuffy nose too. So all Friday night while I cried in pain and couldn't breath my man took care of me:) I love him!
So I had work the next day and it was horrible I felt much better but some how I got through it!I persevered getting through being sick at work!! YAY me!
This is where my story gets good! I came home to get ready for my date and this is what I found...

I was speechless!!! Oh my how I love that man!!!! By the way I did finish his ABC book:) It turned out great and he absolutely loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we went on our date, dinner and then saw The Vow:) AWESOME!!! Then we just chilled and talked:) What could be better....NOTHING!!!!! I'm in love people. I love him with all my heart. I'm so lucky and so happy. It was worth the wait to have our Valentine's date yesterday and most importantly it was worth the wait finding my man. All the heartbreak just got me closer to him:) And now I have him!!

Be Mine Everyday

Working on Valentines was insane!! The store was beyond busy all day till about 7 0'clock!! Talk about the holiday rush! At the same time though it was kind of nice. The time went by fast, even if my blood pressure went up, the work night went by nicely. It was cute watching all the people get cute balloons and what not for their sweetheart. It made me miss mine more though.
Like I mentioned before we are waiting till Saturday to do our Valentines celebration. Even though I didn't get my flowers, teddy bears or cards yesterday (I did get some from family members) I really did get the best Valentine at the end of the day. I'm exhausted as I drive to his house, I know I don't look the best after a long day but what do I see when that door opens?
There is his waiting for me, a smirk on his face and open arms. He holds me tight, kisses my forehead. He smells amazing and then softly he says, "How was work baby?" I tell him it was tiring. "Well you're here now. Just relax. I still love you even after the hard days. Happy Valentines. I love you Shandy."
I couldn't think of anything better that I rather have for a Valentine:)
But since I am pretty lucky I get to have someone who loves me no matter what.
And I do get the celebrate this weekend, so win win for me!!

Delayed Valentine

Since I have to work tomorrow I will not be celebrating Valentine's with my man until Saturday....but really it's okay:) I will still have a good day full of love tomorrow, but I will just have to wait till I'm with my special someone for our celebration!
Plus I'm not really done with my gift yet... that's kind of a problem. And I need to get a few extra things for him.
It's a regular week for me. School, work, basketball games and Vampire Diaries so I can't complain. Life is good and this week gets the cherry on top for the world's day of L-O-V-E!!!!

Hairy Weekend Ahead

I got a hair cut yesterday and I love it!!!!!! For those of you who don't know a few years ago I got the "shadow box" done on my hair, that's when your light color on top and dark on the bottom. Anyways, I dyed it super dark brown under in June for the last time and then I started to process of going all blond again. The first time that I did it, it wasn't quite where I wanted it, but this time it looked really good!!!! I also got a bunch of layers!! It really helped with getting rid of my gross brown dead ends. But my hair was cut about 2in shorter. It my not sound like a lot to you but believe me there is a difference. I love it though and I think the more my hair grows out it will keep looking really good:)

So it's been a pretty stressful week...I started my new job for one. My first day was Tuesday and now I'm going to today for day 2!!! I like it so far. My schedule is great! I will never have to work a Friday night, or Saturday night, and NEVER AGAIN a Sunday!!! Yay! And getting a day off sounds pretty simple:) It makes me beyond happy!!
I so glad that tomorrow is Friday!! I'm so ready for a fun nice weekend to just chill out and hang out with my family and boyfriend!
I would also like to mention before I sign off for the day how incredibly grateful I am for the love a have in my life. I'm so blessed that the lord is looking out for me and my struggles. I know with the comfort of the spirit I know everything is going to be fine. I love this gospel. And through all the blessings I received these past months, weeks and days I need to do my part a little better.
On that note, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend coming up:)

Scary Times 10

Last night the most creepy scary thing happened to me and my boyfriend!
We were chillin in his room kissing talking you know the norm, when suddenly we heard a noise like the downstairs garage door opened. So we stop and listened for a second, looked out of window to see if his brother was home, nothing. So we go back to what we were doing, but then this is when I almost wanted to die!
About 30 seconds after that, at the same time we both heard the sound of someone walking in the hallway standing right outside his bedroom door. You know in your house you have those spots on the floor were if you step just right on them they make that loud noise, that was the sound we heard form the hallway. He just looked at me and said, "Someone is in here." And I knew he was right. I knew we weren't alone in that house. My heart and body started going crazy and my man shot up and headed for the door. I was beyond scared and I grabbed onto him so tight.
We quietly opened to door, no one was there so we started making our way to down the hall. Still nothing, but I was still in panic mode cause I knew something wasn't right. We walked down the stairs to the basement and as we turned the corner and the FREAKING DOOR TO THE GARAGE WAS OPENED!! I wanted to scream!! So my boyfriend started checking everywhere downstairs and I was freaking out. Then...it gets worse my friends...
Suddenly we heard the back door open upstairs and the sound of someone walking down the back porch. I just looked at him and were both were like O MY!! So we ran upstairs but no one was there, but we both knew they were there. You could just feel it. The back door was closed, but it was unlocked. After that we checked all the other rooms and waited for the fam to get home.
I honestly have never felt that way before. I thought something horrible was going to happen to us. But i know the prayer that I kept saying made that person go away. Someone looked out for us and we were okay. I knew that my boyfriend wouldn't have let anything happen to me, but who knows what could have happened. I'm so grateful and relieved.
Oh and then a little side note if anything more crazy couldn't happen last night my "brother" someday will be, had to get stitches last night form getting hit at basketball practice!!
Talk about a CRAZY SCARY NIGHT!!!!!

Easy as 123?

With the help of many opinions from friends and family I have finally decided to make an "ABC" book for my Valentine:) Of course as I'm sure many of you have seen the really cute one on Pinterest...

But im of course gonna add my own twist to it:) It will be great!!
I'm just sooooo in love!!! Sunday will be 9 months!! LOVE IT!!!
Sunday also is, if you don't know then you're not American, Super Bowl! I'm a little upset that the 49ers didn't make it, but hey it's still a fun day to have a party over a football game. I'm going to be making some yummy treats for the event or "events" cause I will be attending 2 parties! It's gonna be fun:)
Hopefully all may cooking baking and craft making won't be too hard! Wish me luck!!!
