I hate finals.

35 hour work week.
One more test to go!
First 2 tests were hard.
Got all of Austin's Christmas presents!
Still have to get everyone else's gifts.
Excited to use that mistletoe!
I have a runny nose today.
Listening to my favorite Christmas CD is fantastic!
Listening to stupid Jazz music for my dumb Jazz class.
Got my laundry done!
Working 8 hours tomorrow.
Thinking about how good Austin looks in jeans!
Wishing he didn't always have work till late.
Bought myself an early present!
Starting to realize how much school I still have to do.
Really thankful for my family and friends.
I'm freaking out about what my final grades will be.
I'm so grateful for the Savior and happy we are celebrating his birth.

It's been such a good week! Sometimes things go perfectly when I get to work but also do lots of fun things on the weekend. I feel extremely grateful for my friends.
Our lives are busier but hanging out and seeing them makes life that much better.
I really do have the greatest friends in the ENTIRE WORLD!
Aust and me went on a cute hot chocolate date with Kalya and Cameron (love them so much by the way) and we had such a great time hanging out. I have a feeling we have many more double dates in the future. It makes me so happy :)
I feel like December came out of no where and now I'm realizing I haven't even started Christmas shopping YIKES!! The hardest person on my list...Austin. Why is it so hard to shop for guys. I want to get him something special and thoughtful but what?? You can only make so many blankets right? Well I wish you all good luck finding those gifts! Lets hope I can think of something clever!

Hello blogging world. We meet again. I feels like forever since I've actually looked at a blog especially my own. But I'm back again!!
So what's been going on in my life?
First of all Austin and me couldn't be better. As you all pretty much know me and Aust have now been dating for about 17 months. I know it sounds silly for me to say this but our relationship has only gotten better. Honestly I thought I loved him more than anything a year ago, but now I love him even more. Even in our young age I feel like we have matured and grown a lot throughout our time so far together. We have one goal on our minds. Someday soon we want to get sealed for all eternity in the Temple. Austin hasn't ever had a real experience or understanding of the Gospel, but he is making the steps now to get the Priesthood. I'm extremely proud of him. He is the only man in his family who is doing this and he'll be the first Mandarino man to hold the Priesthood.
We've both have things to work on though. I have a few things to work on. School for one is as always fun, but extremely stressful. In the craziness of school and work at times I forgot some important things. The most important being the Gospel and Jesus Christ.
My knowlelge and testimony never left me, but at times I forgot about my part. Now that Austin and me have both been reminded of this I feel more at peace about not only my life now, but for the future.
So I know I'm pretty much blogging about what I did 2 months ago. It might be boring and lame to some of you, but this is what I'm gonna blog about. I'm going to write about funny things, lovely things, sad things, happy things and whatever comes along.

Hallmark Gal

I know it's amazing to behold...I finally got a job! After about 2 months since I left that horrible party store my prayers and patience paid off!!!
I work at Hallmark now :) It's a fun happy place. Not a huge store but full of fun things and it's at the mall which has always been my home away from home. I'm really liking it so far and I think once school starts it will be good with that as well.
I've been complaining about a job for months so I know my family and friends will be happy to hear me shut up about it!
So yay me!!
Life is swell :)

I Tried

This past week I attempted some of my baking and cooking skills.
One turned out awesome. The other not so much.
First I made these really simple chocolate pretzel square things.

They were perfect for our day a Seven Peaks on Saturday.

Second Pinterest idea was these, peanut butter cup brownies. Sadly didn't turn our so good.

I guess I saved myself the extra calories.

But I'm still looking froward to trying out new recipes and such in the future. 

Something to Dye for

So I think I have a new hobby/craft. Dyeing.

It's so much fun, it's cheap and turns out awesome!!!

I'm so glad that Camie had this idea and that Lexi knew how to do it! It was a fun thing to do with the gals:)

Foster Fun

I have one important thing to say at the beginning of this post...
I'm so in love with Foster the People. I mean of course I loved them before the concert, but now my love has gone to new heights. The concert was absolutely amazing!!! Mark Foster has an amazing voice.
The night was epic. Dinner with Sara and James, and my wonderful date Lex was so much fun!! I was extremely depressed that Aust couldn't come. It was his birthday present after all, but he is doing something extremely important for our future, so what do you do?
But back to FTP...Lex and me had so much fun! We got a good spot in the crowd and we were loving every minute! Kimbra and Mayer Hawthorne performed and they were great too! I have discovered some new great music!
When they came out though it was incredible!!!

Mark came over to our side a few times and holy cow we were freaking out!!!!!
It was a grand night!! I got some new music, fell more in love with FTP and especially Mark, and I have fun :)

Dixie Drive

We made it!! I have officially gone on 2 road trips this year! It was quite the trip getting there. On the way down to SG, as I sure you all know, there was a fire near Ceder City which made us take a detour road that made the trip an extra hour and a half!! Yeah it sucked! We didn't make it to our condo till around 10.
I was exhausted after that crazy drive. Luckily the next day we got to sleep in. We watched Austin's brother play b-ball, hanged by the pool and had a yummy BBQ!
The next day was our last day at the condo so we went to the last of Brayden's games, his team went all the way to the finals! Then us kiddos were on are own for the next 2 days. We checked in to our awesome hotel and then we did WHATEVER WE WANTED!!! It was heaven.
We went swimming, tanning, went to the movies, bowling, playing cards, eating good food and just relaxing. We all had a great time:) I will say one thing though, I don't think I ever want to share a bathroom with 3 guys EVER again...Yuck.
I'm really grateful for this little Va-ca that we went on. It was nice to forget about all the business and craziness that has been going on. Especially for Aust because now that he starts his new job today he is going to be working 2 jobs for the next 2 weeks because of his notice. He is such a great guy and I'm so proud of him.
So I'm pretty much on my own for the next little while. But I do have lots to get done in that space of time and of course #1 is finding a job...

Is There Really 24 hours in a Day?

Holy cow so much has been happening today I can't even believe I'm sitting down blogging right now. I just figured that if I was going out of town I better give everyone a farewell post.
Today was Annabelle's funeral. Let's just say it was very depressing. Her parents weren't involved with any kind of church so it was missing a lot of things...like the spirit. There was really a lack of reverence through out the whole thing. I just hope and pray that her parents understand that this isn't goodbye and she really is in a better place. I'm so grateful that I know the plan of salvation. Even though I never got to spend time with this sweet baby I know she will be missed and I know that she is happy that she has returned to her heavenly  father.
Getting ready for this vacation has been so stressful. But I couldn't be happier about going. One thing that I had to do to get ready was get a spray tan.
It was actually a frighting experience! Those spray machines are really scary and big. It turned out super great though! I got the lowest level, just a base coat for all the tanning I'll do this week, and it turned out a wonderful light tan! I'm so relieved!
But the most important thing that happened today was that Austin got the great job he has been interviewing for!!! He will be getting paid double what he makes now and I think he will like it a lot better. I'm so proud of him:)
I'm setting a challenge to everyone and anyone who reads my blog that you think about all the things that happen in your day and think about all the things you are grateful for. Life is crazy. Ups and downs. We need to remember what life is really all about. 

The last 48 hours...and more

It's been quite a weekend. There was good things and...bad things.
Friday I awoke to horrible news. Austin's baby niece Anabelle passed away. She was only about 2 months old. They found out that it was SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Aust's step sister had posted pictures of little Bella only hours before on Thursday night. There is no explanation for SIDS, the baby just simply stops breathing  in its sleep for no reason. It was very sad to here about her, but things have been okay. The funeral for sweet Anabelle is on Tuesday, it will be extremely hard to see her family in that moment and everyone that I love from Aust's family but we will all get through it. My prayers are with them all.
Saturday was a mixture of many things. My mom, grandma and me went to my cousins high school graduation. She dropped out a couple years ago, but went back and got her diploma instead of a GED. I'm very happy for her, but all I can say is that I so grateful for the decisions that I've made in my life. I'm so grateful for all I have.
Later that day we went to the Demolition Derby! It's one of my family's favorite events!!! But sadly I guess the Derby was taken over by a new company or something so everything was way different and it was pretty lame...I was sad. It was pretty funny when the crowd started booing though, but everyone was way disappointed.
The Fam and I went to Village Inn because the night was young since the derby got over way early. It was a great ending to a long day...or so I thought.

That's right people we went to the ER at 12:00 am because Austin hurt his foot that he had broken earlier this year. He hurt it way bad and he tried to get through it but he couldn't take the pain and we had to make sure he didn't break it. 3 hours later we finally talked to a doctor, the ER was PACKED, he did an x-ray and thank goodness nothing was broken but he did bruise his heel bad so he got a brace sock and he has to ice it alot so I'm praying it starts feeling better soon.
So a lot going on! We have lots to do this week, packing for St. George and road trip!!
So much to do soooooooooooo little time!!!!!!

51 days till the Annual Manadrino camping adventure!
and 150ish days till JB!
Yup there's a lot going on but hopefully somewhere in those days I can find a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Love You DAD!

My dad is amazing. He is the most caring hardworking selfless man in the entire world.
The older I've gotten the more I realize how much my dad really does for me and my family.
There is no one as easy going and sweet as my dad.
He has never raised his voice. He always tells me he loves me and he always asks when he gets home, "how are you."
I love you dad:)

I think I like baking. I like cooking but I think I like baking and "making"more.

We're Adults...blah

I'm sure you all know that Austin is a year younger than me. But now that he has graduated and starting working full time it has made me feel more adultish in a lot of ways.
It kind of sucks.
It is exciting too though. I know our working is only adding up to what we really want to do later.
Austin might be working 2 jobs soon. I'm hopefully going to be getting a job soon and then school again in the fall.
Even though it's going to be hard work there is no one else I'd rather go through this with than Austin.

Together we will be happy no matter what happens.

January 5th

If I didn't mention i'm going to Justin Bieber's concert in January!!! It's gonna be the experience of a lifetime!!!!

Nanny Shandy?

Yup that's right I might be a nanny/babysitter for a family in my ward! It came out of nowhere and honestly I never really considered the option. But the opportunity arose and here I am. I have the rest of this week to decided if it's a done deal then the final result.
I think it's something that I want to do. It will really work well with my schooling and everything else. Yeah it may not be the highest paying job but I don't want to be miserable. We shall see what happens.
Also here is our "professional" photos for prom.

They turned out pretty good, but I feel like ANYONE can be a professional photographer.
Seriously is it just me or do a million people do this now...boring. One thing for sure is that I'm probably not going to be spending a fortune on someone taking my wedding pics...just saying, why would I?

He is DONE!

It was a very happy day on Thursday!! Austin graduated!! Sweet relief!!
He looked like such a stud!!

It was such a fun day!! and today we are having a big party for him at the park so that should be fun!!

Tingles

You know those moments when you just get so happy and excited you just get tingles everywhere? I've been getting those a lot this week, even with my ear pain.

Austin graduates tomorrow!!!! I thought that this day would never come! It's been a battle getting to this day.   Aust has had some struggles and he wasn't sure what he really wanted to do at some points and honestly he is such a hard working guy. I really admire that about him. 

So we got graduation. Parties. and just some fun changes coming up.
Another thing that is giving me tingles is watching Adam Lambert's new music video...

This man is beautiful! His voice still melts me. Oooo baby!!!

Health Hell

I had that cold that everyone was getting last week and I finally got over it yesterday, but then...
My ears started hurting. Yup I'm 100% that I now have an ear infection. This is the 3rd one in the past 10 months. Not good.
It's really strange that I'm suddenly getting them now. Austin has had ear problems all his life and to next step for him is to get surgery. Now suddenly I'm getting ear infections! What the heck? I don't think ear infections are contagious. It's interesting...
So I'm going to the Instant Care as soon as I'm ready for the day...which will be as soon as I finish writing this post. I'm not looking forward to this experience. Again.

I Got Creative

Finally I've made something cool I've seen on Pinterest!! Okay I did make that ABC book for Aust, but this is the first thing for me!

Jane, Neon and Nonsense

So I have recently become addicted to Jane By Design. I didn't think I would like it but I actually love it!! I'm in love with Jane's best friend Billie. Who doesn't like the super hott bad boy??

It's just a fun show! I love the fashion and of course the DRAMA!! Check it out:)
I also went shopping with my Grandma today for Summer stuff and we found some good finds!! One of my favs is my neon shorts!!!

I never would have guessed I would buy neon shorts!! Plus they make me look way tan:) Lovely!!
As for the nonsense...well some drama has been going on at work. It kind of sucks, but it will be all good:)

Simple...

Today was such a beautiful, fun, simple day.
I got up, curled my hair,did some cleaning and then went to lunch with my mom, grandma and my grandma's friends who she taught when she was a teacher.
They were hilarious by the way! Not only are they fun cute ladies, but when they talk about their days as teachers, I almost died laughing!! It not only made me want to be a teacher more, but when I told them that's what I wanted to be they were so excited and gave me some awesome advice and encouragement! It made me feel good:)
Then I got to hang out with my bestie Lexi!!!! We walked around Daybreak lake, talked, laughed and just got to be together! I have missed talking to her so much! We have so many great memories together and I still admire and have fun with her! Love you Lex!
Back to when I was at lunch...While chatting with the lovely ladies there was a saying on the wall that said...
"Good friends are like stars. You may not always see them, but you know they're always there." That's true for many of my friends in my life, and for that I'm so grateful. I feel like that's what I've thought especially since graduating and then friends moved away. I knew that for my true best friends were always there for me and love me.
 Back to my story of the day...After that I took care of my poor boyfriend. He isn't terribly sick, but he really isn't feeling the best. Whenever he gets sick I feel like I could never do enough to make him feel better. It's sad!! I don't know what it is but when your man gets sick it's sad and I will admit kinda cute:) So anyway he is feeling a little better but still yucky. Oh and by the way he got an awesome job!!! I'm so excited for him!! I feel like this is another one of our steps to our goals and dreams:)
The little simple things about today made it a great day!

It's Real

 Austin and I had a great time celebrating our 1 year! We went and saw The Lucky One, finally, then went and had a delicious dinner at Teppanyaki!! It was so good and I had never been there before but it is now one of my favs! He is just is just soooooooooooooooo sweet! I LOVE him!!!
So I didn't end up getting him a gift ...he didn't seem to care which is a relief, I didn't want to hurt his feelings or something. Once again I over thought the whole thing. But he did get me some beautiful roses and jewelry!! I didn't think flowers were a big deal till I started getting them...so now I'm one of those girls who likes getting flowers, never thought that would happen. I always thought they were a waste of money, not anymore!
I'm so grateful that I'm with Austin. He is everything that I wanted and everything that I need. I never really thought of finding a guy that I wanted and "needed" but Aust is just everything and more. He really is my best friend.
So a yearh as past. I can't wait for the many more to come. There are so many things that I'm looking forward to. First of all Austin's graduation in a couple weeks!! Then we will both be working this Summer and saving so money YAY!!!

Summer Schedule

I guess I like blogging at last hours now. Since I've been pretty much bored out of my mind till Aust gets out of school I just do whatever the heck I want!! Okay I'm not that lazy, I am going to work tomorrow and hopefully I will be adding more shifts onto my regular schedule...I'm praying that works out. I'm also wishing that Aust finds a decent full-time job soon, that would be lovely. It's kind of stressing me out...
But I know these early saving, planning and anticipation days are going to be worth it. I just know they will. I'll make sure of it. 
Alright onto a less stress subject. Yes our anniversary was on Monday and of course this week would be super busy so we have to wait to celebrate till Friday, which is fine. Except I do have a little problem...do you buy your boyfriend a gift for an anniversary?? I have no idea. It's not like it's our wedding anniversary, but it's special, so I'm lost. Also my daddy's b day is on Thursday and then Mom's day!! Gosh I'm so not prepared!! And I have no money cause I have barley worked the past week!!!! HELP ME!!!
Anyway another thought the freaking U professors need to post final grades already!! My heart is constantly beating twice as fast waiting for these flipping grades!!!
And if you guys haven't heard the song Blood Bank by Bon Iver go listen and you'll probably listen to it non stop like me.

Falling With Style

I'm blogging at 1 am mostly because I'm at that state when my mind is on overdrive but I can almost feel like that moment it about to come when the sleep finally hits you. So maybe writing a post will help me get there.
If you don't know by now Prom was on Saturday and yes I went and now it's over! That was finally my last Super Senior event! YAY!!!
I had a good time though:) I got to have a fun night of dressing up and being with my man!! Our day was pretty simple Went to breakfast at Austin's friends, Dallon, house and it was yummy, then Aust and me separated from the group and went and saw The Avengers, which was sweet! After that we had a ton of time to kill so we watched TV haha yes we are lame! When 3 o clock came around I got my hair done and started the "getting ready" process. When I was good and ready we met our group at Wheeler Farm for pictures. Apparently getting your pictures at the dance isn't cool anymore, you have to get pro photos at cool places...hmm a lot has changed in a year. But I will admit it's a pretty cool idea, hopefully they turn out cool:)

After that adventure we made it to dinner at Tucanos, one of my favorite places! So delicious!! Then came the dance, which started with me and Aust stuck in the parking garage for 30 min, but it was fun actually:) Once we got to the dance we got there just in time to see who Prom Royalty was...oh joy. After a few slow dances and hellos to friends we were ready for the final stretch of the night. We went for a swim, sat around a camp fire, had pizza, played some soda pong, it was lovely. All in all I had fun!! It was good care free fun time. A good starting weekend to my Summer. I just love being with Austin so no matter what if I'm with him I'm all good:)
Also FYI today is not technically our ONE YEAR!!!!!! CRAZY! More on that later:)

It's a U Thing

I can't believe it but I did it!!!!!! I am survived my first year of COLLEGE!!!! Holy crap!
I still look back on all I did this year and it seems like it's gone by so fast!
So what was it like being a Ute? Well pretty amazing I will say!! The U really is an amazing school. There is so much to offer and I really liked all the student help,plus all my professors were great too! From the MUSS to Geek Week, it was all a new adventure that I will go through all over again in the fall. Don't get me wrong it was tough at times. I've never studied or worked harder at school in my whole life! It was defiantly a challenge! I'm so glad that it's Summer! This finals week was kind of insane. All I know is that every semester I will only be getting closer to graduating and having a career!
So here's to SUMMER!! Hello FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!

The Situation...

This Saturday I will be at the WJ Prom...Um yeah.
I would have never thought in a million years that I would ever be a SUPER SENIOR!! EVER!!!!!!
Even though I am a SS I still don't feel bad for making fun of all the kids I saw in the past coming back to dances and such, and yes there are some situations and moments when seeing past Jags at events is accepting and at times...it's not. Say what you may, I feel like an idiot for some reasons and for some I don't feel bad at all.
Why I feel like an idiot? Um that's obvious.
Why I don't? I'm going with my man and I love him. I get to look good.
If I'm going to be a SS I'm going to make sure I look damn good doing it! So THERE!!
My plans for surviving this events...
I'm wearing a killer dress! My hair will be amazing thanks to my amazing hair doing neighbor, who still does my hair for dances, thank you Kristen, I'm going with my boyfriend so no matter what I know I'll have a fabulous time with him and... I will admit I really love dressing up! If I could live in New York 1890 and be a wealthy daughter to a rich father and family, I soooooooooo would!!
Okay so you guys get the idea, I'm going to Prom again.
All in all life is swell. I'm free from work this week. Almost done with finals, just 2 more then i'm freeeee. And Monday is our 1 year!! WOW!!! I'm a lucky lucky lucky girl:)

A New Love

Tomorrow I have my lovely art final...I'm excited cause I love this class, but of course I'm nervous! This class was defiantly my favorite class this semester. I think the biggest reason I loved it so much was because I learned sooooooo much and I fell in love with art.

 So amazing. Moving. Beatuiful. Strange. Weird. Interesting.
Whatever the medium, the time, the creator I love ART!!

My Old Ways

Alright I'm making my blog public again...
First of all there are a lot of people that have asked me what happened to my blog and there are a lot of you who have had problems getting on my blog to actually read it so I'm going back. I know I'm crazy, but hey what can I do?
Second I think some of the drama has calmed down about the whole blogging mean stuff so I have waited it out and I'm ready to take on the whole wide world again!! Yay me!!
Okay back to the important stuff!
Sorry I haven't blogged for a few days I have been chillin it up in Moab this weekend! Why Moab you may ask? Well there was a sweet car show going on this weekend and it's free National Parks weekend! Perfect timing! So you guys are probably expecting me to post some sweet pictures of Arches National Park and cool cars well I have some sad news...We brought our amazing camera with...no batteries. Ouch. Totally forgot to check that before I packed it, so I left the freshly charged batteries at home. Maybe next year I'll remember!!!
After that sad news I will say though that we had a blast this weekend though! Arches was awesome! The weather was perfect and I got to spend it with my favorite person:) Austin has never been there before so he loved it and he really loved the car show too!
All in all without taking cute pictures and such we still had a blast and it was a great weekend.
This week will also be fun too! I have finals to get done...which is not fun, but I'm okay with it. And I will be playing "super senior" again at the WJ prom on Saturday,and...if you can believe it our one year anniversary is coming up!! Lots to do, lots to look forward too!! I hope I can do it all!

Good Ideas

I had a post all ready to go yesterday about "my jocks" but I decided that I would wait till I got some cooler pictures with my parents way awesome camera next week! So sorry for my blogging delay this past week.
But I do have good news and ideas about what I can post to you guys next week.
First of all the house renovation is going awesome! We got new carpet in yesterday and my entire family feels like we're in heaven. It really makes our house look brand new!!!
I'm glad that my parents have decided to redo this house instead of considering moving in the next couple years. I love this house. I've lived here since I was 3 and I could not think of a house with a better room, yard pretty much everything!
Second school is almost out! YAY!
I'll let you know about my first year of being a Ute, or should I say Red Hawk now?? haha anyway the U has been great! More on that later:)
Also just a quick mention if anyone of you have read books by Sarah Dessen you need to read her new one What Happened to Goodbye. I'm only half way through right now but I love it!! I just love reading! I will admit I wasn't reading as much a few months ago but now I'm picking it up again and I'll ALWAYS make time to do some reading from now on!
And if you guys haven't read The Lucky One, DO! It was one of my favorite Nick Spark books! I was so happy when I found out that they were making a movie!! And with ZAC EFRON TOO!! Hello!!!! I can't wait!

Painting Walls...Not Eggs

Austin and me have spent a good deal of the weekend painting my front room or really my parent's front room. My parents are basically in home redo mode! Which is awesome cause it's like moving to a new house! Next is the kitchen! And when I say redo I mean everything new carpet furniture is kind of a mess over here right now!!

Hmmm what else could I say today....not much! Life is good. I'm sorry I'm so boring this week friends. Maybe If i'll remember I'll post some Easter pics from today!

I Love Art!

My art history class is seriously my most favorite class ever!!!! It's so cool and interesting! I have just fallen in love with the beauty and mystery of art:)
I have an compare and contrast essay due the end of this week and it's pretty much the greatest assignment of my life!!! We are comparing these 2 works...

The first is called The Great Wave drawn by the Japanese artist Hokusai.

The second is Snow Storm-Hannibal and his army crossing the Alps painted by Joseph Mallord William Turner.
I'm so excited to write this paper! I can't believe I said that!!
